By submitting this application I am stating that I have given serious thought to owning a pet. I understand that owning a pet is a wonderful experience and also a long-term responsibility and committment. I plan to provide this pet with all the care necessary to give it the best chance at a happy and healthy life. This includes annual exams, vaccinations, dental care, and further veterinary care in the event of illness or injury. I understand that Animals in Crisis, Inc. is not responsible for any veterinarian bills/medication/etc. that occur after this adoption. I also understand that animals can cause damage. Animals in Crisis, Inc. is not responsible for any damage that may be caused by this pet. If this pet is not already spayed/neutered at the time of the adoption, I agree to have this pet spayed/neutered at the appropriate time (6-7 months of age). This is mandatory! 8 out of 10 kittens/cats brought into animal shelters are put to death due to lack of homes. I agree to NOT DECLAW this pet. I agree that if at any time I am unable to care for this pet I will return him/her to Animals in Crisis, Inc. Animals in Crisis, Inc. is a non-profit animal rights organization which relies on donations for individuals and organizations for its funding. A minimum adoption donation of $50 per kitten and $75 for a spayed/neutered cat is required at the time of the adoption. This money goes toward food, bedding, litter, toys, and necessary medical treatment for our homeless animals until they are adopted.
